We are excited to announce our second annual All-Church Missions trip, joining our youth group, alongside the church body at large, to minister to the people of the Dominican Republic! We’ll be going from August 9th-16th, 2026 and cost is $1,650 per person, which includes airfare, ground transportation, lodging, food, and everything needed for the trip itself. We will also be doing group fundraising to raise money to building homes for families in need in the DR. Just fill in the application and leave your deposit to start the application process. Application paperwork and a $200 deposit is due on or before November 30th. Sponsors can give toward your trip by going to Support DR Missions. This is going to be an amazing trip so don’t miss out!

The Harbor Church, in partnership with The Exchange Youth, is thrilled to announce our summer missions trip to the Dominican Republic! While the Dominican Republic can be seen as a tropical paradise by most people in the world, it can also be called a land of paradox, where you can experience both the beauty and the need within minutes of arriving. While the Dominican Republic is a land of great beauty, there is also extreme poverty. Over 30% of the nation lives in poverty. The economy is largely driven by the the tourism industry. The people who find themselves working in the tourism industry comprise much of the “middle class.” However, those who work in those positions often have to make sacrifices, spending weeks away from home at a time with only a day or two to be with family in between. The Dominican people have a strong culture and heritage. They are warm and welcoming, eager to share their culture with those who take interest. The dream of most Dominicans is to one day become baseball players who make it to the MLB.
During the summer of 2024, The Exchange Youth did their first missions trip to the Dominican Republic, where they built a relationship with an incredible community in the Sosua area; a community blended with both native Dominicans and Haitian immigrants. In 2025 our church sent a team of 41 to follow up and the ministry has continued to be incredible. Connecting with a local church led by Pastor Juan, who is so excited to partner with us again, we’ve been able to be a true blessing to this community in need. We’ll be serving the community by providing a Summer VBS for kids through Pastor Juan’s church, loving these kids and families by providing brand new sports equipment free of charge, doing service and building projects that are much needed within the community, including building brand new homes from the ground up, and possibly doing some medical missions as well. We are excited to be able to minister to this community once again!
We will be partnering with Island Impact Ministries who will be facilitating the logistics, helping to organize all of the details, connecting us with the community, and providing security, transportation, and translation for the duration of the trip. They have been established in the DR for years and are well connected in the region. For our lodging, Island Impact has a relationship with a local all-inclusive hotel, Sosua by the Sea. In addition to lodging they will be providing our meals and safe drinking water for the duration of the trip.
